Singapre Math is now adopted globally and is popular in USA and many other countries. The Singapore Math curriculum emphasises problem solving using model drawing and hueristics. For the students who aim for A* in PSLE mathematics, they will need to practice solving challenging questions.
Problem-sloving heuristics
The challenging mathematics questions require problem-sloving heuristics in addition to the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Below are the 11 heuristics identified by MOE:
