What Paper 2 asks

Paper 2 is the written paper, and it is the broadest of the three. It tests grammar and vocabulary — Adaimozhi, Oli Verupaadu, Vetrumai and Seiyul — and then four comprehension sections: Mununarvu, Therivuvidai, Picture Comprehension and Suyavidai. Because it covers so much ground at once, revising it as a single subject is what makes it feel unmanageable.

The practice here is split into nine separate drills, one for each section of the paper, so your child can work on the part that is actually weak instead of sitting a mixed paper and rediscovering the same gap every time. Every question comes from the course you already have — 249 tests, moved across from your teacher’s own material without being rewritten.

Three ways through each drill

Practise is the ordinary way in. Each question is marked as it is answered, so a mistake gets explained while the question is still fresh rather than at the end of a paper.

Challenge holds the marking back until the last question, the way the examination does. It suits a child who knows the material and needs to find out whether they can produce it without the safety net.

My Mistakes is the one that compounds. Every question answered wrongly is remembered, and this brings back only those. A question leaves the list once it is answered correctly, so the list shrinks as the work is done rather than growing forever. It appears on a drill only when there is something in it — and because an empty list can mean either “not started” or “nothing left to fix”, the card says which of the two it is.

The written-answer questions in Suyavidai and Picture Comprehension are marked by your child against the model answer. Nothing there is scored automatically, because a self-assessment is a claim rather than a result.
