PSLE Tamil Composition Practice
Writing a picture-series composition is four separate skills pretending to be one. A child has to read a sequence of pictures and work out what story they tell, plan that story in order, find Tamil words precise enough to carry it, and then write it under time pressure without losing the thread. Marks are lost at every one of those stages, and a finished essay handed back with a grade does not tell you which stage went wrong.

Read
Look at the pictures first: what is happening, who is in it, and what changes between one frame and the next.
Plan
Turn that into a mind map, so the order of events is settled before a single sentence is written.
Build
Gather the vocabulary the story will actually need, rather than reaching for whatever comes to mind mid-sentence.
Write
Write it, self-check against what markers look for, then compare the finished piece with a model composition.
